Also we had a driver Elchin who take us to Guba. He is not a guide, but he spoke English and did an excellent job of telling us about places along the way and of taking us to all of the places we reguested.

We went to Baku from San Francisco in September of this year and had a wonderful time. We travel extensively around the world, have been to many contries and continets, but I have to say, the trip to Baku was one of the most pleasant trips we have ever taken. Explore Azerbaijan did a great job organizing our stay. From entrée visas to Azerbaijan and hotel reservations to the airport transfers and restaurant reservations and sightseeing tours, every step of the way, we felt personal attention and care of Explore Azerbaijan, and that was great. Very friendly and professional service. Special thanks to the owner of Explore Azerbaijan, Vugar Hadjiyev for his true Azerbaijani hospitality, it was very refreshing to see. He takes pride in his roots, loves his country and does everything possible for his clients to enjoy their stay in Baku. Baku is a beautiful, gorgeous city that has truly flourished in the past two decades. Wonderful, very friendly people, delicious food and unbelievable pahlava (local desert specialty; must try coconut pahlava – very unique and rich flavor). All in all, we had great time in Baku and will definitely be back.

I would like to give our opinion of the tour that we have made in Azerbaijan.
Hotels:
Seki, correct considering that there are in a city.
Baku, the Amber hotel is nothing that can be considered as 4 * (inaccessible with suitcases, dirty towel for two and breakfast an hour later).
Driver: Mr. Elchin
Correct and efficient.
Guia: Mrs. Dinara
Have visited more than thirty countries in Europe and Asia and it is not unusual to find a guide to make you see a country.
The guide we had in Azerbaijan has taught us to appreciate their culture, art and cuisine. He likes the country and in the few days we have been traveling in Azerbaijan with the feeling we're going to know a country.
