The night in Baku is like a bright revived picture.
Due to the construction boom of the early 20th century, many new buildings, museums, office centers, hotels, skyscrapers appeared in the city. Our excursion begins with a mountain park, from where you can see a magnificent view of the night city, which completely changes, brightening with bright lights, with the onset of darkness. Houses and parks seem to wear evening attire to give a festivity to residents and guests of the capital. The mountain park is located on a high hill in the western part of the city. This is the best place to view the city itself and the Baku bay. The architecture of the capital is very diverse and represents a combination of different styles and influences, both eastern and western.
Further on the program the guests will have the opportunity to walk along the Baku embankment, which is also one of the sights of Baku. This favorite place of recreation for residents and visitors of the city marked its centenary in 2009.
Any Baku resident will confirm that the most popular places for walking in the capital of Azerbaijan is Nizami Street and Fountain Square.
In the middle of the XIX century due to the favorable location and abundance of shopping benches, the street was called Torgovaya Street. For many decades the residents of Baku continue to refer to the walking segment of the Nizami Street, closed for public transport, as Torgovaya.(from the Fountain Square to Rashid Behbudov Street)
The Fountain Square also has a long history, and in the beginning of the XIX century it was called just a square. After numerous changes in 2010, the area acquired its present appearance.
Particularly, fountains, pavilions and kiosks were originally reconstructed, the available vegetation was preserved and the area of green plantations was increased.
